In writing the next part, I ran into an age discrepancy, which spawned this thing. It's hardly required reading, but if you want to know Peter and Matt's (and Foggy's!) birthdays, they're in here. As of now (now being the day that In Which People Know Too Much (Part 3) happens), it is the first week of June in fic-verse. The fic's unofficial name is Red, because I had to name it on ff.net, that's the name of the fanmix/playlist/soundtrack I'm making for the series, and I couldn't think of anything better.

This may or may not line up exactly with canon, but like every great writer to ever work on Marvel, I imitate the professionals. And by that, I mean I tweak canon until it does what I want. I stay pretty close to the basic canon concepts, however. Matt's origin is kind of fuzzy, so I winged it.

This will be edited as the fic continues, so I don't trip on myself.


Foggy is born May 5th, 1969.

Matt is born July 12th, 1970.

Peter is born April 13th, 1980.

Peter is bitten by the spider at 15. He turned 15 in the spring of 1995, entered freshman year of high school already 15 years old. He was bitten during a class field trip in the fall----for the purpose of the fanfic, we'll call it September 21st. He competes in the wrestling ring for less than a month, Uncle Ben dies, and Peter is Spider-Man for the first time on October 15th.

Peter and Matt first meet by accident in the fall of 1997 after Peter stops a mugger from, well, mugging Matt, unaware that Matt himself was about to fight the mugger off. Peter was 17, Matt was 27. [ here ]

Peter graduates in the class of 1999 from Midtown High School in Queens at 19.

Skip ahead. Matt passes the bar, becomes a lawyer, and establishes his own law firm with Foggy and becomes Daredevil at 30 in November of 2000. Peter is 20 and has just passed the 5th year anniversary as Spider-Man a month before.

Matt is Daredevil for nine months before meeting Spider-Man in August of 2001. Peter is 21, Matt is 31.

Gwen Stacy dies in the spring of 2003. Peter is 23, Matt is 32. Identities are still hidden.

Matt and Peter meet in their civs in the fall of 2005. Peter is 25, Matt is 35.

Karen dies. Let's say she dies the Sunday of the third week in October in the year 2007, just for shits and giggles. Matt is 37, Peter is 27.

Peter and Matt have their first scene, fanfic-wise, three weeks later. Puts them at the 2nd week of November. [ here ]

Let's say the following January, MJ files for divorce. Third week, gives Matt about 3 months to get attached to Peter after Karen's death. They're pretty good friends at this point. [ here ]

Five weeks later, he's shooting the shit with Matt, comparing shoe sizes. So that's the fourth week of February. [ here ]

Three weeks later, they screw each other. Third week of March. [ here ]

Next day, Matt tracks Peter down at work. Still the 3rd week of March. [ here and here ]

Couple days later, Peter comes over. Still the 3rd week of March. [ here ]

Two weeks later, Matt sleeps over at Peter's. 1st week of April. [ here ]

Next morning, Aunt May finds Matt. Still the 1st week of April. [ here ]

About a week later, Matt and Peter decide they're together. 2nd week of April, just before Peter's 28th birthday. [ here and here ]

Couple weeks later, Peter goes down on Matt for the first time. Skips over his birthday, puts us in the 4th week of April. [ here ]

Couple days later, Foggy and Matt have dinner with May and Peter. Still the end of April. Possibly the very beginning of May. [ here ]

A week later, Part 1 of the arc starts, Peter moves in with Matt. 2nd week of May, they've been together officially for a month. [ here ]

Part 2 is a couple days later, still the 2nd week of May, and extends into the 4th week of May. [ here ]

Part 3 is 4 days later, first week of June. Bullseye attacks near the very end of the school year. [ here and here ]

The next week, Peter is told not to come back to Midtown High. That weekend, Peter and Matt attempt that bondage sex they were talking about, and end up fucking it up and instead, they find out that Matt's got some ... issues, putting them in the second week of June. [ here ]

A week and a half later, Peter and Matt save a boy from his abusive father and altogether ignore their own issues. They're in the fourth week of June. [ here ]

A week later, MJ visits and hits all of Matt's jealous and disgusted buttons. The next day, Peter meets with Betty and discovers that there's been a break in at the Osborn place. They're now in the first week of July. [ here and here ]

Peter goes to talk to Norman about the break in, Ben Urich calls Matt to warn him about Bullseye, and Peter and Matt bicker. It's the first couple days of the second week in June. [ here ]

A couple days later, Peter tries to make up with Matt and fails. Bullseye steals the spider tracer out of Matt's pocket and Peter is attacked by the Green Goblin. The date is Friday, July 11th, 2008. [ here ]

Matt finds Peter, and Peter is killed by Bullseye. The date is Saturday, July 12th, 2008, and Matt is 38 years old. [ here ]

Right now, Peter is 28, Foggy is 39, and Matt is 38.

Peter's 10 year high school reunion will take place in April of 2009, just after Peter turns 29. Matt's 20 year high school reunion will be in May of 2009, and he'll be 38.
